Status Report Update: January 26, 2010
On January 25, 2010, the GPAC recommended the Draft Air Quality and Energy Element be forwarded to the Planning Commission and City Council for approval. The GPAC encourages input from the public during the Planning Commission and City Council discussions.
Review of the Draft Element is tenatively scheduled for the March 16, 2010 Planning Commission agenda.
Status Report Update: July 14, 2009
The City Council approved the 2009-2014 Housing Element.
Status Report Update: January 26, 2009
The GPAC recommended the draft Housing Element be forwarded to the State, Planning Commission, and City Council for review and approval.
Status Report Update: April 22, 2008
On April 22, 2008, the Dixon City Council appointed the General Plan Advisory Committee members. The General Plan Advisory Committee comprises a panel of 15 community members with a diverse set of skills and interests who will assist the City Council during the General Plan Update.
Status Report Update: December 12, 2007
At the December 11, 2007, City Council meeting the Council awarded the consultant contract to PMC. Work is anticipated to start in January 2008.
Additional Council discussion is tentatively scheduled for January 2008 regarding the formation of a Citizens’ Advisory Committee to assist in the preparation of the General Plan.
Status Report Update: October 12, 2007
Consultant proposals were due on October 5, 2007. Two firms submitted proposals. The firms are MIG and PMC Both firms have offices in Davis. The consultants will be interviewed during a special City Council meeting on October 30, 2007.
Copies of the initial Statement of Qualifications submitted by both firms are available for public review at the front counter of City Hall (600 East A Street). Business hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
Initial Status Report: September 26, 2007
A comprehensive update of the City of Dixon’s General Plan is scheduled to begin in January 2008. The City is in the process of selecting a consultant to prepare the update which will include an environmental impact report. The City Council will conduct consultant interviews in late October or early November.
