Message from the Fire Chief

Hello and welcome to the Dixon Fire Department website. I hope you find it informative and useful. As we strive to meet our mission to proudly serve, protect and enhance the safety of our community, we continually update the information you find here so please check in regularly.

Professional and compassionate service is what we provide out citizens. Aggressive yet safe fire-fighting tactics is our overall philosophy in fire suppression. We are what we like to refer as a full-service fire department in that we respond to all types of emergencies. Besides the obvious fire and medical disciplines, were are trained in trench rescue, confined space rescue, hazardous material incidents, urban search and rescue, swift water and low-angle rescue.

The Dixon Fire Department has earned the respect of fire agencies not only in Solano County but up and down the state through mutual and automatic aid agreements and frequent cross-training.

The Dixon Fire Department provides its services to the unincorporated area surrounding the City known as the Dixon Fire Protection District. This District is over 300 square miles and is the largest Fire District in Solano County.

If you don’t find the information you are looking for on our site or have other questions, please feel free to contact me at any time.

Thank you.

Greg Lewis, Fire Chief
