Lieutenant Steele's primary responsibility is to provide general management, direction and control for the Support Services Division. The Support Services Division consists of investigations, code compliance, records, training, youth resources, jail operations and support for all other police operations.

Lieutenant Willingmyre’s primary responsibility is to provide general management, direction and control for the Operations Division. The Operations Division consists of the patrol bureau, community service officers and support for all other police operations.

Personnel Commendation / Complaints
Commending Superior Performance
If you wish to commend the action of any Dixon Police Department employee, you can:
Ask to speak to the employees supervisor and verbally communicate your praise, or
You can write a letter to the Chief of Police explaining your praise
Commendations received by the Chief of Police for any Dixon Police Department employee will result in advising the employee of your gratitude and in permanently recording his/her actions and your appreciation in the employee's personnel file.

Citizen Complaint Procedure for Improper Police Conduct
You have the right to make a complaint against a police officer for any improper police conduct. If you feel you have witnessed this, please complete the Citizen Complaint Form , print, sign, and bring the form to the Dixon Police Department located at:

After a complaint is filed, the incident will be investigated.
