  • Public Works general information
    • Afterhours call outs - call dispatch at 707-678-7080 to report  malfunctioning traffic signals, street flooding, sewer back-ups or spills, or other matters that can not wait until normal business hours.  See phone numbers at right for calls during business hours.
    • Flooding conditions - if citizens of Dixon or unincorporated areas are in need of sand and sandbags for flooding conditions they can pick up the sandbags at the Dixon Fire Department located at 205 Ford Way and sand is located at the end of Industrial Way.
    • Engineering Division/Standards.
    • Wastewater.
    • Sewer Backups & Overflows - the City of Dixon maintains the sewer mains only.  The service lateral to the main is the property owner's maintenance responsibility.  Call 530-682-6263 for assistance with sewer related issues or emergencies.  If wastewater is flowing into the gutter or storm drain, immediately call dispatch at 707-678-7080.
    • Street light problems - leave a message at 707-678-7051 x 103 with the pole number, address, and description of problem. 
    • Pollution Prevention
    • Water - all drinking water is from groundwater.  There are two water providers in Dixon, California Water Service and Dixon\Solano Water Authority.  Your water provider is based on location.
      • Water conservation - Cal Water; DSWA, landscaping. DSWA customers - a limited number of free low flow shower heads and hose nozzles are available at City Hall, 600 East A Street.  Cal Water customers see local office at corner of S. First Street and E. Mayes Streets for conservation programs.
