Public Works General Information

The mission of the Public Works Department is to develop, operate, and maintain public facilities, structures and recreation programs in a cost effective manner while providing a save and healthy environment.

The Public Works Department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of public facilities and systems used, owned, and enjoyed by the public.  These facilities (works) and systems that form the basic framework and underlying foundations for daily lives include the streets, sidewalks,  streetlights, City buildings, and parks and recreation facilities and programs.

  • Afterhours call outs - call Solano County dispatch at 707-678-7080 to report malfunctioning traffic signals, street flooding, sewer back-ups or spills, or other matters that can not wait until normal business hours. See phone numbers at right for calls during business hours.
